Worship

This Sunday We kick off a new sermon series this week titled "Unpacking the meaning of LORD." The theme of our Sunday message is "The Rewards of Obedience," and we're grounded in Joshua 14:9.

Journey with Jesus Maybe you've heard of confirmation?Journey with Jesus is a little like that, but we're not as interested in people "joining" the church, as we are inviting students into relationship with Christ and equipping them for the journey. Students 7th grade and beyond invited. Pastor Craig is leading the journey. Info meeting 1/19 right after worship. 
Middle Youth Group Join us Jan. 19 as we live into the joy of Making God First in 2020! Games, Bible time, Nacho Bar, and Christ-centered community. Details: 4th–8th graders; 1/19 from 3 to 6 pm; Fairfax; RSVP Megan@HughesNursery.com.
Last Tuesday Coffee Coming up on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Meet up with others at Kava House from 9-10:30 for coffee, short Bible study, and conversation. Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend.
Book of John Study Come together with others to study the book of John. Ron Bunch is leading. Details: Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8 pm, beginning 2/5; Fairfax; sign-up sheet at PBC. 
Kids Life Group Community + God’s Truth + Joy. Every Sunday Morning. Preschool through 6th grade. We're learning all about the life of Jesus for the next few weeks leading up to Easter. We'll see how the Bible shows us He was both a man and God. Our Lord and Savior! 

Serve
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11
Fleece Needed! Our Middle Youth Group is making fleece blankets for children in our local homeless shelters. We need fleece. Please purchase fleece in 1 1/2 yard increments, allowing us to make small blankets for these dear petite people. Drop off on Sunday at PBC. Donations encouraged through 1/19.

8:50am PBC prayer Every Sunday. Join us near the welcome table as we praise God, praying over the upcoming service at PBC, the friends and visitors who walk through the doors, our ministry staff, and Prairie Hill. 
Community 

• Prayers for God's peace to surround our military service members across the world. Please work in the hearts of all people and nations engaged in conflict. 
• Prayers for all who are battling through chemo and radiation treatments. Strengthen their minds and bodies with your good promises Lord. 
• Prayers for many people to come to know Jesus for the first time in 2020; praise to God for giving us many opportunities to know Him more. 

Personal 

• Prayers for comfort for Ben Westcot and family as they mourn the passing of Ben's sister. 
• Prayers for rapid healing for Jackie who underwent emergency back surgery.
• Prayers for medical answers and healing for Lili who is hospitalized with lung problems.
• Prayers for a cancer-free biopsy this week. Shared by Michelle Foss.
• Prayer for comfort and peace for Kathy Patterson who is mourning the loss of her husband.
• Prayers for Charlie and Jane as they work to overcome multiple health issues. May God heal their bodies and bring them peace. Shared by Sue.
