Look for practical ideas to grow your love for Jesus from home right here each week! And as your love grows, share it generously with the world.
Teens and Adults
A chapter a day. Start a daily Bible reading plan by reading the four Gospels. Begin in Matthew 1 and commit to one chapter a day. Take Saturdays and Sundays off if you want. Do what works for you but focus on active reading. Read the chapter twice, if time. Then reflect on a verse or short passage. Maybe the verse is encouraging or convicting or confusing. Rest there. Take some notes. Pray. Start again tomorrow. Here are other Bible reading plan ideas.
Listen to the Word. There are a host of services that will read the Bible to you. Here's an easy-to-use free one. Listen while you drive. Listen while you cook. Listen while you mow.
Kids and Families
Memorize scripture. God's word stored in the brain and heart is a treasure. Choose a verse each week and make a game of memorizing it as a family. Make mini posters for your fridge and doors, create actions to go with the verse, write it with chalk on your front side walk (bonus: your neighbors might memorize it too!). Here's a great one to start with--John 16:33.
Get personal. Does your child have a favorite Bible story? Or maybe a person—David, Daniel, Mary, Noah? Read everything you can about the person or event in a children's Bible and then take to the web for activities specific to your child's favorite person or event.
Sing. Check out Rain for Roots. This music group shares Gospel truth in high quality children's music. Favorite album--Big Stories for Little Ones.
Meet on Zoom to study and discuss God's word, contact Jesse Padgett.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12
